(Palm Beach Post) “People want to take their country back. They want to have independence, in a sense, and you see it with Europe, all over Europe,” Donald Trump said.

Hillary Clinton released a statement saying the vote “only underscores the need for calm, steady, experienced leadership in the White House to protect Americans’ pocketbooks and livelihoods. … It also underscores the need for us to pull together to solve our challenges as a country, not tear each other down.”

Both candidates also found a way to fit the Brexit into their campaign narratives. Clinton’s call for calm, experienced leadership over passionate bluster looks more inviting in the post-Brexit financial chaos.

Both campaigns are trying to use the Brexit vote to their advantage.
