Dallas Stars Hall of Fame Gala to Honor Joe Nieuwendyk and Ralph Strangis Shane Smith & The Saints to Headline Musical Performance

The Dallas Stars will celebrate two of the most influential figures in franchise history during the 2025 Dallas Stars Hall of Fame Gala on Sunday, Nov. 16, at South Side Music Hall. The event begins at 6 p.m. and promises an evening of celebration, community, and live entertainment honoring Joe Nieuwendyk and Ralph Strangis.

The gala will recognize Nieuwendyk, a Stanley Cup champion and former general manager, for his on-ice achievements and leadership in shaping the Stars’ identity. Strangis, the longtime play-by-play voice of the team, will be honored for his decades of service in broadcasting and his role in connecting fans to the game’s most memorable moments.

The evening will feature a headline performance by Shane Smith & The Saints, known for their high-energy shows and heartfelt storytelling. Their performance will cap off a night dedicated to excellence, legacy, and the enduring bond between the Stars and their fans.

All proceeds from the gala will benefit the Dallas Stars Foundation, the organization’s charitable arm that supports children, families, and communities across North Texas. The foundation focuses on initiatives promoting health, education, and wellness through grants, programs, and community partnerships.

The Dallas Stars Hall of Fame, established to honor the team’s most impactful contributors, continues to recognize those who have elevated the organization both on and off the ice. This year’s induction of Nieuwendyk and Strangis highlights not only their professional accomplishments but also their influence in building a winning culture and a loyal fan base in Dallas.

Fans, alumni, and community members are encouraged to attend this memorable evening as the Stars organization pays tribute to two icons who helped define the spirit of hockey in Texas.
