Public’s assistance requested in fatal weekend hit & run

image003Dallas County, Texas – On Sunday October 27, 2013, the Dallas County Sheriff’s Departments Vehicle Crimes Unit responded to a fatal hit and run accident involving a pedestrian at westbound US-175 and Masters Drive. The incident occurred approximately between 2:00 a.m. and 4:30 a.m.

The victim, 34-year-old Hugo Ricardo Soria-Porto, was walking westbound on the shoulder of US175 at about Masters Drive, when he was struck and killed by an unknown vehicle that left the scene.

Although it is still early in the investigation, we have been able to determine, based on evidence left at the scene, that the vehicle may have been a 2001 blue Honda Prelude. The suspect vehicle will have extensive front right damage as well as hood and possibly windshield damage.

The suspect vehicle will be similar to the picture above.

If you have any information, you are asked to contact the Dallas County Sheriff’s Department Vehicle Crimes Unit at (214) 589-2323.
