Davis calls out Abbott for cancelling another press conference at a school

wendy davisFORT WORTH — Wendy Davis communications director Zac Petkanas released the following statement after Greg Abbott canceled his second press conference around his education plan amid controversy:
 
“What this updated media advisory should say is: Due to Greg Abbott not wanting to show his face at another school district he’s currently battling in a courtroom lawsuit, today’s press conference at Lubbock High School has been canceled.”
 
Abbott has faced criticism for hosting press conferences on education at some of the 600 school districts he’s currently fighting in court to protect teacher layoffs, overcrowded classrooms and closed public schools.
