Coit Road sections closed through April in Richardson

showimageOne to two lanes of northbound and southbound Coit Road between Campbell Road north to the city limits will be closed intermittently beginning Tuesday, Jan. 19 for concrete repair. Road crews will work in phases along Coit, first heading north and then heading south. The lanes of traffic to be closed will alternate as needed to complete repairs. The work is anticipated to continue through April.

Only one lane of traffic will be closed during peak travel times during the morning and evening commute. During off-peak times, from 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m., up to two lanes of traffic may be closed. Access will be available to businesses along Coit throughout the project.

Electronic road signs will be in place to inform drivers of the lane closures. Drivers are encouraged to use alternate routes while construction is taking place. The street maintenance work is part of the City Council’s increased focus on infrastructure improvements.
