Fans who pre-order The Hunger Games DVD at their local Blockbuster through August 15 will receive a free exclusive Hunger Games poster and be invited to attend a special release party at their local stores.
Attendees at the Dallas/Frankford Road Blockbuster will be treated to a special appearance by KISS-FM on-air talent, HUNGER GAMES survival food, a screening of the movie in store, trivia contests for prizes, a special Tribute mini-makeover and learn self-defense techniques for the arena.

Hunger games release party- I am 11 my mother and I went to the hunger games real ease party at 12800 pines blvd in pembroke pines. No party no trading cards that were promised on the hunger games release website NOTHING!!! I was dressed up as latniss because on the website it also said they were having a costume contest. The people that worked there had no idea what we were talking about!! We were there at 11pm on the 17th and we just stood there until we got the dvd that we could have gotten in the morning!! I had begged my mom to go to get the free stuff but we got nothing!! People passed us and didnt even acknowledge us.
